About Heinrich Schulze Ladencafé
With its wide variety of hand-decorated gingerbread hearts, delicious honey cake, and delicious Bremen bread, Heinrich Schulze Ladencafé GmbH has been pampering its customers for six generations. In addition to its own confectionery shop with a small café in Borgolzhausen and an online shop, the family business also produces large and small batches and handcrafted items for fairground exhibitors and private customers.
"With the JUMAG steam generator, we have a reliable system that is appropriately dimensioned and, what's more, consumes less energy."
Arne Knaust, Managing Director Heinrich Schulze Ladencafé
Challenge: Efficient and sustainable replacement for the old system
The Heinrich Schulze shop café primarily produces gingerbread, which requires syrup that is cooked using steam. After the old steam boiler from another supplier gave up the ghost in 2020, it was time for a new steam generator.
In their search for a suitable replacement, the shop café team seized the opportunity to upgrade to a smaller, more energy-efficient unit.
The solution: JUMAG steam generator DG 360 gas-fired
“The old system was too large and too old,” says Arne Knaust. “With the JUMAG DG 360 steam generator, we opted for a smaller unit that meets the latest state-of-the-art technology.”
In view of rising resource prices and environmental protection, the decision to go with JUMAG offers two advantages. The reduced gas consumption not only saves the gingerbread specialist money, but also meets the actual production requirements.
“JUMAG has more than met our expectations. With the new system, we simply press the button in the morning and it’s up and running,” summarizes Knaust. “The good communication with JUMAG and the annual maintenance service were also ultimately arguments in favor of JUMAG.”
