About Häffner Bräu GmbH
The Häffner Brewery‘s history begins in 1908 in Bad Rappenau and is a truly impressive success story. Initially, the traditional brewery was a simple inn with its own bar. Thanks to the excellent quality of its own beers and its inviting restaurant, the business has evolved into a popular inn with a hotel and brewery.
The brewery’s own beers are known regionally under the Häffner Bräu brand. They are sold nationwide under the Hopfenstopfer brand.

Challenge: A more economical replacement for a shell boiler
When it became apparent in late 2014 that the old shell boiler needed to be replaced, the company began searching for a reliable and efficient solution to replace the old steam boiler with a more economical system. They came across JUMAG. The new solution: a DG 560 series flash steam generator, which immediately impressed them with its high quality and performance. In addition to the quality features of the new steam boiler, the proximity to JUMAG was another advantage.
The solution: Generate steam flexibly with the DG 560 rapid steam generator
The application is demanding: The JUMAG steam boiler is used to generate heat in the brewery’s brewhouse, for the bottle washer, for keg cleaning, and for sterilization.
The DG 560 impresses with a significant reduction in energy consumption. It has only 1/10 the boiler capacity of the old boiler and therefore requires significantly shorter heat-up times.
In addition, the new JUMAG system is precisely programmable, ensuring that the required heat can be delivered precisely and no excess energy is generated.
