JUMAG steam generators of the DG 260 series
Stable maintenance of steam pressure and steam production
Energy savings of 20%
About die Delitzscher Schokoladenfabrik
Delitzscher Schokoladenfabrik GmbH has a long tradition as a chocolate and confectionery specialist, spanning 100 years. Successful in its three business areas of private label, co-manufacturing, and corporate brands, the chocolate factory also maintains a select portfolio of its own brands. However, its primary focus is on manufacturing quality products for commercial and industrial customers.
The company combines knowledge from 100 years of production history with modern technology to create unique, high-quality products. With the decline in steam consumption, the traditional company faced a new challenge: The company’s previous steam generation was no longer cost-effective. A recommendation provided the necessary solution: JUMAG’s efficient and sustainable steam generators.
"Our JUMAG solution is ideal for medium-sized companies with low steam consumption in production."
Sebastian Schliebe, Plant Manager
The challenge: stable steam production and pressure maintenance
Before Delitzscher Schokoladenfabrik GmbH began working with JUMAG, the entire plant was powered by a large 5-7 MW steam generator. At some point, its use became uneconomical, as steam consumption and the amount of energy needed for hot water supply declined over time. It was time for an energy-saving solution!
The solution: save 20% energy
The application is challenging: supplying the washing line and two steam boilers with water without producing a significant excess of steam. We were able to solve this challenge with two DG260 series steam generators. The major advantage of JUMAG steam generation is the stable maintenance of steam pressure and thus steam production. Thanks to this powerful performance, the JUMAG steam generator achieved energy savings of 20%.
The result: The ideal steam generator for medium-sized companies
The savings achieved with JUMAG steam generators are twofold: their user-friendly operation has significantly reduced the workload for operating personnel. At the same time, lower energy consumption also lowers operating costs.
