By acquiring a majority stake in Schneider-Kessel Berlin®, we are combining our strengths to offer even more precise, specialized steam generation solutions. While JUMAG stands for compact, low-maintenance standard solutions, Schneider Kessel specializes in tailor-made solutions for complex industrial processes in the edible oil, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries, among others.

Under the label “Schneider-Kessel by JUMAG,” we offer the best of both worlds—connected by a shared understanding of quality and innovation.

Sustainability at JUMAG

Sustainability begins with excellent quality and closes the circle through the recyclability of individual parts or entire devices.

We are constantly working to become even more climate-friendly in everything we do.

JUMAG steam generators stand out, not out! We place the same quality requirements on our partners. The result: durable equipment, supplier products, and spare parts, with minimal maintenance.

The right dimensions make a big difference. We are also constantly working on finding new ways to save energy, for example by collecting water and reusing it in the steam cycle or by utilizing hot exhaust gases from upstream processes.

In everything we do, we think outside the box—and incorporate not only our products and services, but also processes and packaging into the most sustainable design possible.

Our devices are so robust that they can also be used profitably when second-hand: we buy back used boilers and recondition them. This is good for the climate and your budget!

Our next goal: JUMAG should also be carbon neutral! Contributing to this are: regular modernization, a fleet of hybrid or electric vehicles, and, for example, offering our employees the opportunity to ride a company bicycle!

Our story

The best of everything combined in one device. For us, this is not just a cliché, but living history. JUMAG exists because, back in 1961, a resourceful engineer refused to settle for second best.
At that time, Theo Jungel's wife ran several successful cleaning businesses. However, her various steam generators did not always work as they should.

Fortunately, Jungel was a technician and could repair many things. This awakened his inventive spirit: he discovered that each device had certain advantages. Why couldn't he simply combine the best features of each steam device?

No sooner said than done: the first “JUMA” (Jungel, Mannheim) steam generator was created. And its success proved him right: finally, a device that ran reliably and did its job with flying colors! It didn't take up any unnecessary space and consumed less energy and water than other devices.

Jungel not only had a happy wife, but also laid the foundation for a successful company.
