Since its founding in 1962 in Simmern, the Zischka dry cleaning company has developed into a high-performance specialist in textile and clothing care. What once began as a small business is now a modern cleaning service provider with around 70 employees and a broad range of services – from the professional processing of workwear to the care of particularly demanding textiles used in the aviation, healthcare, and hotel industries. The third-generation family business combines craftsmanship with technological advancements and continuously develops its processes – with the goal of being optimally prepared for future challenges.
Challenge: A system that grows with the company.
During the construction of a new plant, the decision had to be made: water-space boiler or steam generator? At Multimatic’s in-house exhibition, Mr. Zischka came across JUMAG – and deliberately opted for a modular steam generator solution that could grow with the company. The goal was reliable steam generation for temperatures up to 180°C – essential for the ironing capacity.
The solution: An expandable KDA with DG 560 from JUMAG
Zischka currently operates three DG560 steam generators – the first, a compact steam system with a feedwater tank, was purchased in 2014, a second in 2016, and a third in 2025. The steam generators are primarily used to heat the ironer and the washing line. Thanks to their modular expandability and short service response times, operations have been able to expand efficiently. Energy savings were achieved primarily through the use of several small steam generators instead of one large water-tank boiler. The reliability of the systems – and the excellent support from JUMAG – are particularly valued.
