Rental steam generators from 20 to 1,680 kg/h: JUMAG further expands rental pool
Fast assistance in the event of an accident, breakdown, boiler maintenance, or for temporary steam needs: Due to increasing demand, technology leader JUMAG is further expanding its rental fleet of energy-efficient boilers. New to the fleet are mobile steam generators mounted on trailers. Delivery and commissioning are generally possible within 24 hours in Germany.
Which steam generators can be rented?
From individual steam generators to complete steam systems, you can rent any JUMAG steam generator.
The JUMAG rental fleet currently includes:
- Electric steam generators from 20-160 kg/h
- Freestanding units and compact steam systems
- Oil/gas-fired container steam systems with up to three steam boilers up to a total of 1680 kg/h
- Mobile steam systems on trailers
What service is included in the rental offer?
We offer to transport, install, and commission the system. You can also book regular maintenance.
When does it make sense to rent a steam boiler?
Electric Steam Generators
The compact rental units of the EDI series, with a steam output of 20–160 kg/h, are primarily used for pilot projects, pilot plants, or test series, for example, in the pharmaceutical industry.
Oil and Gas-Powered Rental Steam Generators
Individual units and steam systems from the DG series are often used for short- and medium-term bridging in the event of a breakdown or failure of existing systems.
Container Steam Systems for Rental
With JUMAG container steam systems, we can provide your self-sufficient steam plant, which is also suitable for outdoor use. The steam output is up to 1680 kg/h. These systems also cover short- and medium-term needs and can be used for months at a time.
Mobile Steam Systems
This mobile solution mounted on a car trailer can be on site within a few hours. This allows even extremely short-term outages to be bridged. The steam output is approximately 500 kg/h.
For which companies is it particularly worthwhile to rent a steam system?
Generally, it depends less on the type of business or industry than on the specific application.
Typical examples of steam system tenants are winemakers who, due to seasonal reasons, only need a steam generator once a year to clean their wine filters. Or gravel producers who need to steam piles of gravel in winter to prevent them from freezing.
In general, renting a steam system is primarily worthwhile for businesses that only need its services temporarily, such as bridging a heating system, a construction site, or for testing.
The 5 most common reasons for using a JUMAG rental steam generator
- Breakdown or failure of an existing boiler.
- Production of small series or prototypes, i.e., temporary steam requirements for projects.
- Temporary overhauls of systems subject to TÜV inspection.
- Temporary overhauls and spare parts delivery times.
- Test unit to verify the functionality and efficiency of a JUMAG unit.
Delivery and commissioning possible on the same day
In an emergency, a JUMAG rental steam generator can be delivered the same day. Commissioning is usually possible within 24 hours throughout Germany. If no rental unit is available, we will do everything we can to find a solution as quickly as possible.
JUMAG rental steam generators are ready for connection and can be commissioned within a very short time.
Even large container steam systems arrive ready for connection. Typically, only the media connections need to be installed. The chimney is pre-assembled on the container and is adapted on-site using the supplied components.
What do you need to prepare for the successful commissioning of a rental steam system?
Depending on the system type, you should meet certain requirements on-site at your facility to ensure the installation of the rental system runs as smoothly as possible.
Generally, a suitable access road must be provided so that we can deliver and install the system without any problems. In addition, the following connections and lines should be checked and prepared in advance:
- Water supply
- Blow-down line
- Steam and condensate line
- Safety and vent lines
- Power supply
- Oil supply
- Connection of the exhaust stacks
Furthermore, for electrical systems, it is important that the three-phase current of 400 V and 50 Hz is connected and available to the steam generator. Likewise, the supply of 230 V AC 50 Hz must be ensured. Equipotential bonding is mandatory.
From start to finish: How does renting a steam engine from JUMAG work?
First, you must choose a steam boiler from our rental fleet. Once you’ve chosen a model, the system undergoes a full quality assurance inspection. Only then is it delivered and installed at your facility.
The minimum rental period for a JUMAG system is 14 days. The rental period can be extended flexibly as needed. A flat-rate functional and safety check is performed every six months. Billing is per calendar day based on the agreed rental period.
As soon as you no longer need the system, we will collect it from you. During another quality assurance inspection, we will then check the system for any damage. If any is found, it will be repaired and subsequently invoiced to you.
